As a part of organic pigments, solvent dyes have the properties of organic pigments, and also have their own characteristics. When coloring with the same color, solvent dyes have a color-enhancing function, and their strength is much higher than that of organic dyes. They can be used for transparent or opaque coloring. They can be used as polymer materials Colorants are required to have good weather resistance; adapt to higher processing temperature; do not bleed or migrate on the processed parts. These conditions are better than other dyes, but the price is slightly higher. Among them, solvent violet 13 will have a good development prospect as a popular dye.

There are many structural types of solvent dyes, and the common ones are coumarin type, phthaleinone, etc. and their derivatives. The structure of solvent violet 13 belongs to anthraquinones. This kind of dye has excellent application performance, bright color and light, and the light color has fluorescent I’I, and the intensity is very high. It is also widely used, especially for the coloring of decorations. Solvent violet 13 dyes with yellow and red as the main chromatograms are mostly 1-alkylamino or 1,5- and 1,8-dialkylamino substitutes of onion, while 1,4-dialkylamino The substituents are mostly blue and green, and the 2-alkyl or 2-arylamino substituents of onion can also be derivatives of solvent violet 13. Solvent violet 13 has a relatively high melting point, generally between 250°C and 300°C, and its excellent thermal stability determines its application performance. It is widely used in the coloring of polyester, plastic and other polymer compounds. Solvent Violet 13 has a temperature resistance of up to 350°C and can be used on most plastics. Solvent violet 13 is not only used for plastic coloring, but also can be used for coloring liquid crystal display materials due to its dichroism. Due to the excellent light fastness of solvent violet 13, in order to expand a wider range of applications, organic bases are often introduced to neutralize the excess acid to make the compound electrically neutral, so that the dye is soluble in non-polar in neutral solvents. Further use basic dyes as basic groups to neutralize acidic metal complex dyes llz, and a new dye will be obtained, which is different from the original dye in terms of hue and application performance. It can be used for the coloring of inkjet ink and metal aluminum foil. Due to the greatly improved solubility of solvent violet 13 in non-polar solvents, it can become a liquid solvent dye. For example, tartrazine (acid dye) can be reacted with organic base to form a new liquid solvent dye. Domestic similar varieties such as: solvent yellow 21, solvent orange 62, solvent red 8, solvent red 100, solvent red 122, solvent blue 24, solvent blue 38, solvent black 27, solvent black 34, solvent black 35, etc.
