Pigment printing: It is a printing method in which insoluble pigments are mechanically fixed on the fabric with the help of a binder.
1. Common problems:
Poor color fastness to dry and wet rubbing;
The printed surface is whitish;
After the washing test, it was found that the printed parts were cracked, peeled, or even broken.
2. Analysis of the reasons for nonconformity
Printing adhesives are divided into three categories: hard monomer, soft monomer and functional monomer. The addition of hard monomers is beneficial to improve the color fastness to rubbing of the printing, and it will make the printed parts feel hard, easy to crack, stable in light resistance, and easy to yellow.
Adding more soft monomers can improve the feel and light resistance, but the film strength is too low, which reduces the color fastness to rubbing.
Poly-acrylic acid is easy to swell under wet conditions, which reduces the strength of the film and the color fastness to wet rubbing.
3. How to improve
Choosing the right adhesive
Use suitable softener
Pay attention to the baking and fixing process
