Considering the adjustment of historical data, coatings ink enjoy the highest percentage growth in the main ink for the second year. The coating ink is slowly eroding the share of active ink. From 2020 to 2021, the market share of coatings increased from 3%to 5%. The forecast shows that by the end of this year (2022), this proportion will reach 6%.

Discussing around the environment is supporting the change of coating ink. Although many code printing ink suppliers acknowledge that the pigment is still only a small part of income, the general consensus is that this proportion will only increase in the next few years.

WTIN estimates that 1,912 metric tons of coatings have been consumed worldwide in 2021. Due to economic and social and political issues, we expect that ink in 2022 will increase by about 10%. This growth exceeds any other major ink chemicals in the field of textile digital printing, making the total consumption of coatings ink about 2,109 metric tons. This is the first time that the volume -to -pair field has exceeded the 2,000 metric tons mark.

North America's coatings in ink in 2021 accounted for the largest proportion, accounting for 29%, equivalent to 551 metric tons. This proportion is noticeable because the output of digital printing fabrics in North America is much lower than Asia and Europe. Asia ranked second with a 28%share, 530 metric tons. In Europe, it is 497 tons, with a market share of 26%.

This year, forecast shows that Asia's market share will remain at 28%to 599 metric tons, while North America and Europe will drop by one percentage point to 28%and 25%, equivalent to 595 metric tons and 533 metric tons. On this basis, Asia will become the biggest consumers in coating ink. WTIN predicts that in South Asia, which is popular in home textiles, the use of coatings ink will increase.

Among the relatively small areas, South America's market share will be increased by one percentage point in 2022 to 12%, totaling 250 metric tons, and 217 metric tons in 2021, an increase of 15%. In contrast, ink consumption in Asia, North America and Europe is expected to increase by 13%, 8%, and 7%, respectively.

WTIN predicts the growth of pigments in all seven major regions. The growth rate tracks data from 2021 to 2026. Globally, the compound annual growth rate of coating ink is 9%during the six years. Among the three highest output areas, European coatings have the highest annual growth rate, 10%, Asia is expected to be 8%, and North America is 7%.

At the same time, the coatings in South America, Africa and the Middle East will increase by 11%, 10%, and 11%, respectively. Interestingly, the Oceania with a very small consumption number is expected to grow the fastest in 2021 to 2026, an increase of 15%, and at the end of this period, it reaches 68 metric tons. By 2026, Europe will become the largest consumer of coating ink, reaching 895 metric tons.

More and more consumers are aware of the impact of the environment, which supports the transformation of coating ink. Consumers are gradually immune to "washing green" and call for serious actions. If the purchase habits change, brands and retailers will be forced to take action.

The challenge of modern consumerism also supports the use of coatings in the field of volume -to -roll digital stamps. Coatings are easier to use than activity and acidic formula, because the printing does not need to be steamed or cleaned after printing. This means that the turnover time can be faster, which is a prerequisite for printing on demand.

Experts believe that coating ink will erode the market share of active inks in the next few years. They pointed out that the energy crisis is one of the causes of this situation. Active printing needs to use a large amount of high -energy auxiliary equipment. Therefore, active printing service providers are usually industrial -grade business, which means that ink suppliers can provide sales worldwide less than possible coating users.
