Flat screen printing features

The printing method of the flat screen is that after the scraper runs in the weft direction, the cloth surface moves forward after the screen is lifted up and down, which is more suitable for patterns that express the pattern effect in the warp direction.

Because it is a nylon mesh, the holes of the patterned screen are relatively small. Naturally, the lines printed on the cloth surface will be relatively thin. In addition, other smaller ones will not easily penetrate together. This characteristic determines the flatness. The screen is suitable for printing relatively fine patterns, of course, it can also print relatively rough patterns, but from an economic point of view, the factory does not consider this approach.

Because the flat screen format is generally rectangular, there is no requirement for the roundness of the circumference.

All cotton fabrics are printed with copyrighted patterns, and the performance requirements in details and contours are relatively high, so the flat screen can meet the requirements in this regard.

Rotary screen printing characteristics

The printing method of the rotary screen is that the running direction of the screen is consistent with the warp direction of the cloth surface, which is more suitable for printing patterns that show the effect of the warp direction.

Because it is a metal nickel mesh, the holes in the pattern of the screen that show the pattern are relatively large, and the lines printed on the cloth surface will be thicker. In addition, other smaller pattern parts will permeate together. This characteristic determines The rotary screen is only suitable for printing relatively coarse patterns, not suitable for printing too fine patterns (such as lines cannot be too thin, mud dots, moiré patterns, etc.).

Because the screen of the rotary screen is circular, the display pattern is printed on the cloth surface with the help of the rotary screen. Because the pattern is continuously displayed on the cloth surface in the warp direction, it naturally involves a problem of flower back. , And the flower back must be 64CM, or a multiple of 64CM in the loop to form the length of the circle, such as 64/1=64; 64/2=32CM, 64/3=21.3CM; 64/4=16CM; 64/5= 12.8CM etc.)

If the design of the flower back size of the pattern is not an integral multiple of 64CM, when the color is transferred to the screen after color separation, there is a flower back that needs to be considered to form the circumference of the circular screen: either it exceeds the circumference of the circular screen or is not enough. If the perimeter of the circle exceeds the perimeter of the rotary screen, naturally there is no way to make the net-there is no change in the specifications of the rotary screen; if it is less than the perimeter of the rotary screen, there will be no pattern in some places on the screen. When printing in this way, the place where there is no pattern is printed on the cloth surface to show a discontinuous pattern, rather than a continuous pattern.

Fleece fabrics, such as coral fleece/polar fleece, etc., because of the need to do a brushing process, such as the lines are too fine and can not show the pattern after brushing, especially the contour lines, details, etc., so this type of fabrics are mostly round Screen printing.

The difference

The main difference between flat screen printing and rotary screen printing is that the plate-making materials are different. The flat screen printing plate is a screen made of nylon material, the frame is generally rectangular, and the rotary screen printing plate is a metal mesh made of nickel, and the screen is round.

Because the shape of the screen is different, the size of the round screen is fixed, generally 64CM in circumference, while the flat screen is rectangular. As long as the length of the machine can meet the requirements, the size of the flat screen is generally not limited.
