Choice of Dyes

Before proofing, it must be clear what kind of cloth the proofing object is, and then choose the corresponding dye according to the type of cloth, such as dyeing polyester with disperse dyes or cationic dyes. Finally, the color of the dye is selected according to the color of the customer's sample.

Color Matching

In the proofing room, the color matching proofing technicians should make imitation samples according to the customer's samples and requirements, use different dyes to mix them in a certain proportion, and determine the dyeing formula after continuous adjustment. The mixing of dye colors follows the principle of subtractive color mixing or additive color mixing. In the actual production process of the factory, the principle of subtractive color mixing is used. The three primary colors of subtractive color mixing are: magenta, yellow, and cyan (in practical applications, red, yellow, blue).

There are two main ways of color matching of dyes: one is non-primary color matching, which consists of similar colors with a small amount of other dyes. Such as grass green, our factory generally uses 200% new tolan 8GFF dye plus a little Tolan S-GL dye. The second is the color combination of three primary colors, using only three primary colors or mainly three primary colors, with individual special colors. Our factory mainly uses 100% yellow-brown S-2RFL, 100% ruby S-2GFL and 200% Longshenglan 2BLM or 200% blue BL dyes for proofing.

Toning

When adjusting the clone color, keep in mind:

1 The brightness of the light source should be sufficient, otherwise it will affect the color matching effect, especially for deep and dark colors;

2 To ensure that the imitation is consistent with the original texture, the texture of the fabric will also affect the color depth and shade;

3 After the sample is dried out of the cylinder, its temperature must be cooled to room temperature before color matching can be performed, because the color judgment will also be affected if the color sample temperature is inconsistent;

4 When comparing the imitation and the original color, keep the background consistent, and the background color is preferably black, white and gray:

5 Pay attention to the influence of afterimages on continuous color judgment. When the human eye stares at an object for more than 20 seconds, after removing the object, we will see the residual image of the object, and the complementary color of the object color will appear in the human eye. It remains for more than 30 seconds, which in turn affects the color tone.
