Acid dyes refer to the acid group in the dye molecules, also known as anion dye, which can be combined with amino groups in protein fiber molecules with ion bonds and applicable under acidic, weak acids or neutral conditions. Mainly nitrogen and , structures, a few are aromatum methane structures. Dyes and colors generally have colors of themselves, and can obtain other substances in a molecular state or decentralized state to obtain clear and firm color.

The acid dye chromatography is complete and the color is bright. Compared with direct dyes, the acidic dye structure is simple and lacks a longer common two bonds and the same plane structure. Therefore, it lacks directability to cellulose fiber and cannot be used for dyeing of cellulose fiber. Different types of acidic dyes, due to different molecular structures, their dyeing performance is also different, and the dyeing methods are also different.

The acid dyes are divided into strong acid, weak acid, acid medium, and acidic complex dye according to their chemical structure and dyeing conditions.

Strong acid dye

The earliest developed acid dye requires staining in a strong acidic dye bath. Its molecular structure is simple, the molecular weight is low, containing a sulfonic acid or carboxyl group, which has little combination of wool. Uniform, so it is also called acidic dye, but the color is not deep, the target is poor, and the wool is damaged during dyeing. Such as acid red G (that is, C.I. Acid Red 1).

Weak acidic dye

By increasing molecular weight, introducing groups such as molecular weight, introducing various groups such as molecular weight, introducing long -carbon chains, etc., weak acidic dyes are generated. The molecular structure is more complicated, and the combination of wool is large. It can dye wool in the weak acidic medium. It has no damage to wool, darker in color, and improved, but uniform dyeing. Such as weak acid blue raw (that is, C.I. acid blue 80).

Acid media dye

After treatment with certain metal salts (such as chromium salt, copper salt, etc.), the acidic dye of metal complex is formed on the fabric. The media dyeing procedures are relatively complicated, but they can get better performances such as sun -resistant, washing, and frictionality, such as acid -sex media black T (that is, C.I. Media Black 11).

Acidic

It consists of some acidic dyes with metal such as chromium and cobalt. It is soluble in water, its dyeing products, and excellent light resistance. Its dye mother is similar to the acid media dye, but when preparing dyes, metal atoms have been introduced into puppet nitrogen dye molecules. The metal atom to the dye molecular ratio is 1: 1, so it is also called 1: 1 metal complex dye. There is no need to be treated with a media dye when dyeing. Such as acidic collusion yellow GR (that is, C.I. acid yellow 99).

Another type of acidic collateral dye molecules do not contain sulfonic acid groups, but contains hydrophilic groups such as sulfonic amino groups. The metal atom and dye molecule ratio in the molecule is 1: 2, so it is also called 1: 2 metal complex dye. It is dyed in a neutral or weakly acidic medium, so it is called a neutral dye. Such as neutral gray 2bl (that is, C.I. acid black 60).

Acid dyes include puppet nitrogen type, pyrine type, triral methane type, etc., but most of them belong to puppet nitrogen dyes. The production of acidic collateral dyes is similar to that of general dyes, but the process of complexing with metal collaterals must be added. For example, neutral gray 2BL, first by 2-amino phenol-4-sulfamide to nitride, and 1-acetyl amino-7 -The pyrobhenol, and then combined with sodium salted chromium acid.
