According to the latest "China Keqiao Textile Index" released by the Construction Management Committee of China Textile City, recently, the largest professional fabric market in Asia - innovative fabrics, has heated up transactions.

China Textile City is located in Keqiao District, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province. Currently, more than 50,000 types of textiles are sold in this market. Nearly a quarter of the world's textiles are traded here, and the textiles are exported to 192 countries and regions.

In response to the shrinking trend of marketing in the summer market, Li Chuanhai, president of the Zhejiang Printing and Dyeing Industry Association, explained in an interview that March to May is the peak season for textile sales in a year, and June enters the traditional off-season.

Specifically, the market price and volume of raw materials fell month-on-month, the market price and volume of grey fabrics contracted month-on-month, the cloth price and volume in the apparel fabric market rose slightly, and the transaction price of home textile products rose slightly.

Clothing fabric is the most basic material basis of clothing. According to monitoring, the price index of apparel fabrics recently closed at 116.94 points, up 0.15% from the previous month, up 0.27% from the beginning of the year, and up 0.08% from the same period last year. Among them, the transaction price and transaction volume of polyester, polyester wool, polyester viscose and other fabrics rose in varying amounts, driving the price index of apparel fabrics to rise slightly month-on-month.

It is worth noting that the transaction in the innovative fabric market has rebounded month-on-month, the spot transaction and order delivery of new-style fabrics in summer has rebounded month-on-month, and the spot transaction and order-delivery of creative products with both fashion elements in autumn has increased slightly month-on-month, and prices have increased slightly month-on-month.

The rebound of innovative fabrics is also reflected in home textile products. According to monitoring, the recent home textile price index closed at 101.75 points, up 0.13% from the previous month. Among them, the spot transaction volume and order delivery volume of innovative color and pattern fabrics rebounded month-on-month, and the spot transaction and order delivery volume of creative products with fashion elements rebounded month-on-month, and the price index rose slightly month-on-month.

"Index" predicts that the overall market of China Textile City will fluctuate slightly in the next issue. As the summer market is approaching, the cloth purchases of some garment manufacturers decreased month-on-month, and the clothing orders of downstream garment manufacturers and home textile manufacturers decreased month-on-month, and the textile market has a strong wait-and-see mood.

In Li Chuanhai's view, the current global textile market is affected by multiple factors such as rising raw materials and the epidemic. In special times, the use of new technologies and new processes to promote product innovation is still the key to maintaining market competitiveness.

In addition, due to the decline in downstream demand, some traders and weaving manufacturers still have insufficient orders for mass products, the operating rate of weaving enterprises has gradually decreased, the output of printing and dyeing enterprises has decreased month-on-month, and the market trend is partially weak.

Data shows that from January to April this year, the market group turnover of China Textile City was 82.88 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.7%; the online China Textile City turnover was 23.42 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 44.6%, and the overall trend remained stable.
