Important new regulations for export to Egypt will come into effect soon!

According to the decree No. 38 of the Minister of Finance of Egypt in 2021, Egyptian ports will implement the "Advanced Cargo Information (ACI) declaration" forecasting cargo information regulations. For all imported goods, the consignee must first forecast the cargo information in the local system to obtain the ACID number. Provided to the shipper.

The ACID number is a 19-digit number and should appear on all documents related to the shipment (including invoices, bills of lading, manifests, etc.). If the ACID number cannot be provided, the goods will be forcibly returned to the port of shipment and a fine will be imposed!

This provision will begin trial operation on April 1, 2021. It was originally scheduled to be fully enforced on July 1, 2021, and then extended to October 1, 2021 (both sailing days).
