Challenges of Polyester Cotton Arabic Black Fabric Dyeing & Finishing

Deep black fabrics, especially the so-called “Arabic Black” fabrics widely used in Middle Eastern markets, have always been a technical challenge in textile dyeing and finishing.

To achieve a deeper black shade, some manufacturers increase the dye concentration during dyeing. However, simply increasing dye dosage may lead to several issues:

• Higher production costs;

• More floating dye, affecting color fastness;

• Unstable black shade with grayish or whitish appearance;
