The common property of solvent dyes is that they have good solubility in many thermoplastics during processing. They form a stable molecular solution in the processed plastic melt; in opaque dyeing compatible with white and colored pigments, they have excellent color strength and can easily produce highly saturated opaque tones. Therefore, solvent dyes are an ideal colorant for various plastics. They have the advantages of strong coloring power, good heat resistance, high light fastness, acid and alkali resistance, and bright color. At present, it is widely used in the coloring of daily-use plastics, engineering plastics, bobbin materials, oil color separation, paint inks, masterbatches and other materials. Some varieties are suitable for coloring before spinning of chemical fibers, polyester, nylon, and acetate fibers.

1. Scope of use:

Solvent dyes can be used in a single color or can be used after being formulated into various shades in a certain proportion according to needs.

(1) Selectively used for transparent and opaque coloring of high-strength plastics.

(2) Stationery

Inkjet printing, gravure inks, anti-counterfeiting marks, oils, cosmetics, etc.

(3) Surface coating (metal complex dye)

Woodware, surface brightener, foil printing, especially suitable for spraying on the surface of metal aluminum foil coated with silver powder, which can form gorgeous colors.

2. Dye application:

When the above dyes are dissolved in the plastic melt, they are distributed in a certain molecular shape. When coloring various plastics, a certain proportion of dyes can be directly added to the plastics and uniformly mixed to be pre-molded or molded, and the color density can be adjusted according to the required amount. Dyes can obtain bright and transparent colors in transparent and clean resins. If used with appropriate amounts of titanium dioxide and pigments, translucent or opaque colors can be obtained. The dosage can be customized according to needs. The general dosage for transparent tones is 0.02-0.05%, and the normal dosage for opaque tones is about 0.05-0.1%.
